Iryna Zarutska (Ірина Заруцька) was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2022, she and her family moved to the United States. On August 22, 2025, she was fatally stabbed in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA by Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr., 34. She was 23.

ICE arrests Jordan’s Fuad Farah Ikhbeis, Zimbabwe’s Lloyd Tinashe Hwehwe in Texas
During a weeklong ICE operation in Houston, Texas, Fuad Farah Ikhbeis, 57, and Lloyd Tinashe Hwehwe, 36, were arrested for criminal offenses. Ikhbeis has a past conviction for sexual indecency with a minor, while Hwehwe was previously convicted of intoxicated manslaughter after a fatal crash. Both are considered risks to public safety.
