The Philippines will hold its 17th presidential election on May 9, 2022, following a campaign period that began on February 8. Ten candidates are vying for the presidency, including Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Leni Robredo. The incumbent president, Rodrigo Duterte, will be succeeded on June 30, 2022.
