Himangini Singh Yadu from India was crowned Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 on June 16, 2012, in Seoul, competing against 39 candidates. She passed her title to Srishti Rana on October 30, 2013, who took the title among 51 competitors. The event was established by Lawrence Choi in 2011.

Alissa Marie Moore, a former resident of Willits, California, was involved in the murder of her abusive boyfriend, Paul Rodriguez, with the help of friends.
