‘Only Teardrops’ by Emmelie de Forest wins Eurovision 2013 in Malmo
"Only Teardrops," performed by Emmelie de Forest, won the 58th Eurovision Song Contest for Denmark on May 18, 2013. The song was produced by Frederik Thaae and originally written for Germany. This victory marked Denmark's third win in Eurovision history, following successes in 1963 and 2000. Emmelie de Forest's debut album was released shortly after.

Shani Hazan from Kiryat Ata won Malkat Hayofi 2012 in Haifa, Israel. In 2013, she crowned Yityish "Titi" Aynaw as her successor. Lina Machola, crowned Na'arat Israel 2012, returned to crown Bar Hefer in 2013. Hazan finished in the Top 30 at Miss World 2012; Machola was unplaced at Miss Universe 2012.
