Byron Brown beats India Walton in Buffalo, New York
The general election for Buffalo's 63rd mayor was held on November 2, 2021, with Byron Brown defeating India B. Walton. Brown, the city’s first African-American mayor since 2006, secured 59.39% of the vote against Walton’s 40.22%. Walton, a nurse and mother of four, previously won the primary election.
