Payton S. Gendron, a 21-year-old from Conklin, New York, fatally shot 10 people in a racially motivated attack at a Buffalo supermarket on May 14, 2022. He had a history of extremist behavior and was influenced by white supremacist ideologies. Gendron was sentenced to 11 life terms in 2023.
