Davao City is the only independent city in the Davao Region, Philippines, comprised of five provinces. In the May 2022 elections, key results included Baste Duterte elected mayor with 621,766 votes, and three congressmen and various councilors elected across three districts. Registered voters totaled 992,538. Elda Aznar represented Davao in Miss Philippines Earth 2021.
