Janjira Janchome was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2002 on March 23, 2002, representing Phitsanulok. Competing against 44 candidates, she was crowned by the previous titleholder, Varinthorn Phadoongvithee. Janchome later participated in Miss Universe 2002 in Puerto Rico but did not place. She was 19 years old at the time of her crowning.
