Nyekachi Esther Douglas, a 20-year-old from Nigeria, was a finalist in Miss World 2019, finishing in the Top 5. She was crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2019 and won the title of Miss World Africa 2019. The event took place on December 14, 2019, with Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica winning overall.
