Elisa Gróa Steinþórsdóttir won Ungfru Island 2021 in Iceland, facing 19 contestants. She later competed at Miss Universe 2021 but did not place. Nine months later, she crowned Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir as her successor for Miss Universe 2022, held at Gamla Bio with 16 contestants participating.
