Sebastian Zapeta Calil, a 33-year-old Guatemalan, entered the U.S. illegally and was recently living in New York City. On December 22, 2024, he allegedly murdered a woman by setting her on fire in the subway. Zapeta was arrested with a lighter in his possession and charged with murder.
