UPNG student Iampela Popena crowned Miss Bird of Paradise Papua New Guinea 2025 in Port Moresby

Iampela Popena, a 19-year-old student from Mount Hagen, has been crowned Miss Bird of Paradise Papua New Guinea 2025. Representing the Western Highlands, she also won awards for People's Choice, Best Talent, and Best Sarong in a competition featuring contestants from nine provinces. Iampela is pursuing a degree in economics at UPNG.
