Luis Francisco Soriano, 31, was arrested in the Dominican Republic after being wanted for narcotics and four second-degree murder charges related to a quadruple homicide on August 31, 2024, in Irondequoit, New York. He fled to the Dominican Republic following the incident, where he was apprehended on June 4, 2025.

Clauvid Luz Dály Cabrera, 18, from Punta Cana, was a quarterfinalist in Miss Universe 2019, ranking in the Top 20 among 90 contestants. The event occurred on December 8, hosted by Steve Harvey, with Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa as the winner. Dály had previously won Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2019.
