Angel Jesus Martinez of Cypress, Orange County, California, United States died on June 8, 1988. He was 52.

Martinez had black hair and brown eyes. He was 5’`10″ tall and he weighed around 215 pounds.

In 1960, Martinez got married. He was the owner of the Arrow Wood Apartments in Fontana, San Bernardino County, California.

While living in Cypress, Martinez had a property owner collecting rent money from the tenants of the Arrow Wood Apartments. On the morning of June 8, 1988, he left his home in Cypress and drove a 1987 dark blue Buick Skyhawk.

Just before 6:00 a.m., Martinez picked up the property manager who handed him a bundle of rent money collected from tenants. He had appointments with several individuals that day and was supposed to meet his wife in the afternoon.

However, Martinez did not show up to any of the appointments. By 8:00 p.m., his wife reported him missing to the Cypress Police Department.

On June 17, 1988, Martinez’s 1987 dark blue Buick Skyhawk was found at the parking lot of a bowling alley in Duarte, Los Angeles County, California. On June 20, 1988, he was found dead in the desert in La Paz County, Arizona, USA. The Arrow Wood Apartments owner was found buried in a shallow grave in the desert.

On March 1, 2023, the Fontana Police Department and the La Paz County Sheriff’s Department issued a warrant for the arrest of Kelvin Keith Emmons, 63, of De Pere, Brown County, Wisconsin, USA. He is accused of murdering Martinez.

On March 15, 2023, Fontana Police Department officers arrested Emmons in De Pere with the assistance of the De Pere Police Department. He is awaiting extradition to San Bernardino County, California where he will be tried for Martinez’s murder.
