Wendy Boniface, 20, is Miss Seychelles Islands 2006. She is 5’8″ tall and she is currently attending the National Institute of Education in Mont Fleuri, Mahé, Seychelles.
Runner-up to Boniface was Sheijnada Reinert, 17. The winner was given SR20,000 while the runner-up received SR10,000.
Moreover, Boniface was given jewelry and a return ticket to any destination served by Air Seychelles. Reinert also received jewelry and a return ticket to Maldives as the runner-up and a return to ticket to Mauritius as the Miss Photogenic winner.
The coronation ceremony was attended by Miss Seychelles 1999 Anna-Mary Jorre de St. Jorre. Also present was Joseph Belmont, who assumed office as the vice president of Seychelles on July 14, 2004.
As Miss Seychelles 2006, Boniface will represent Seychelles at Miss Intercontinental 2006 in Nassau, Bahamas on October 15, 2006. This marks the first time the country is participating in the international beauty pageant.
