Miss Universe 2010 could be Venus Raj or Fonthip Watcharatrakul

The Miss Universe 2010 coronation ceremony will take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on August 23, 2010. A total of 83 women are vying for the title.

Stefania Fernandez Krupij of Venezuela was 18 years old when she was crowned Miss Universe 2009 at the Imperial Ballroom in Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Her successor will be the 59th Miss Universe titleholder.

Runner-up to Fernandez was Ada de la Cruz, then 23, of the Dominican Republic. The respective second, third and fourth runner-up were Marigona Dragusha, then 18, of Kosovo, Rachael Finch, then 21, of Australia and Mayra Matos, then 20, of Puerto Rico.

Fernandez was born in Merida, Venezuela to José Luis Fernández and Nadia Krupij Holojad. Jose is a Spanish lumber businessman and Nadia is a Polish-Venezuelan pharmacist.

On September 10, 2008, Stefania was crowned Miss Venezuela Universo 2008 at the Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas, Venezuela along with Miss Venezuela Mundo Maria Millagros Veliz of Anzoategui and Miss Venezuela Internacional 2008 Laksmi Rodriguez of Monagas. The respective first and second runners-up were Natasha Dominguez of Sucre and Gabriela Concepcion of Carabobo.
