Christian Daniel Ortiz Gonzalez represented Puerto Rico at Mister Universal Ambassador 2015 and competed against 18 other candidates at Taman Budaya Cak Durasim in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia on November 11, 2015. He won the title.
Runner-up to Ortiz was Brett Murray Stratton of New Zealand. The second runner-up was Izuchukwu Anoliefo of Nigeria.

Ortiz was the winner of Manhunt Puerto Rico 2014. On February 14, 2025, he represented Puerto Rico at Mister International 2014, competed against 28 other candidates at the Grand Ballroom of Grand Hilton in Seoul, South Korea and finished in the Top 15.
