It is not the first time Canadian musician Aubrey Drake Graham, who is mononymously known as Drake, posted a photo of himself in a gym online. However, it appears that his fans still refuse to see him as a sporty person.
On August 29, 2017, Drake took to Instagram to share a photo of himself wearing gym clothes with a pair of dumbbells in his hands. Before it reaches 24 hours before it was posted, the photo got more than 1 million likes.
Apparently, many fans who commented expressed their unbelief. Some of them think Drake had just thrown on some gym clothes, grabbed the weights and posed for a photo. Others even think he does not really work out at all.
In the photo, Drake is wearing an OVO basketball jersey numbered with the number 6, the moniker of his hometown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In 2016, the Canadian singer explained to Jimmy Fallon in an interview on “The Tonight Show” why Toronto is called the 6.
“Our area code is 416,” Drake told Fallon. The “Hotline Bling” singer added that at one point, Toronto was broken up into six areas namely Old Toronto, Scarborough, East York, North York, Etobicoke and York.
In 2015, Drake released a song titled “6 God.” It was one of the 19 songs from his fourth mixtape titled “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.”
Fans of Drake are still waiting for the release of his fifth studio album. He released his fourth studio album titled “Views” on April 19, 2016.
“Views” has 20 songs. Among them are “Hotline Bling,” “Faithful” featuring Pimp C and Dvsn, “With You” featuring PartyNextDoor, “One Dance” featuring Wizkid and Kyla, “Grammys” featuring Future and “Too Good” featuring Rihanna.
