Big Hit Entertainment will release the fifth mini-album of K-pop boy band BTS titled “Love Yourself: Her” on September 18, 2017. One of the tracks in the upcoming album is a collaboration song with The Chainsmokers, an electronic duo consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall.
The title of the collaboration song of BTS and The Chainsmokers is “Best of Me.” It is an EDM genre song with a warm melody and energy, Big Hit Entertainment said in a statement obtained by Yonhap News.
In particular, “Best of Me” features Taggart and the rappers of BTS namely Rap Monster, J-Hope and Suga. This is the first collaboration song on album track recorded by the K-pop boy band.
In May 2017, BTS won the Top Social Artist award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This was where the K-pop boy band met The Chainsmokers for the first time.
On May 21, 2017, The Chainsmokers took to Twitter to share a photo of the duo and the K-pop boy band together. The caption read, “Love these dudes! See you guys this summer.”
Currently, Taggart and Pall are in South Korea. They held a concert in Busan, South Korea on September 11, 2017 and they will have another show in Seoul, South Korea on September 12, 2017.
In other news, the members of The Chainsmokers duo have been named the latest brand ambassador of Tommy Hilfiger, Billboard reported. The Fall 2017 campaign of the brand starts with a video built around a remix of the song “Young” by The Chainsmokers.
