American Assassin“, an action thriller film produced by CBS Films and di Bonaventura Pictures, hit theaters in the United States on September 15, 2017. On the same day, Roswell Records and RCA Records released “Concrete and Gold“, the ninth studio album of the rock band Foo Fighters.

“American Assassin”

Michael Cuesta was born in New York City, New York, USA. He is an alumnus of the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Cuesta directed “American Assassin”, which was written by Edward Zwick, Marshall Herskovitz, Michael Finch and Stephen Schiff based on Vince Flynn‘s 2010 novel of the same name. The film was edited by Los Angeles, California, USA native Conrad Buff IV.

In the film, Dylan O’Brien and Michael Keaton play Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agents while David Suchet plays a CIA director and Sanaa Lathan plays a CIA deputy director. Keaton and Taylor Kitsch‘s characters are former members of the U.S. Navy Sea, Air and Land (SEAL) Teams.

Buster Reeves plays a martial arts instructor and Christopher Bomford plays a bartender. Also in the cast are Adam Collins, Alaa Safi, Charlotte Vega, Joost Janssen, JF Davis, Joseph Long, Khalid Laith, Michael Wildman, Mohammad Bakri, Navid Negashban, Nick Cavaliere, Scott Adkins, Shahid Ahmed, Shiva Negar, Simon Connolly, Trevor White and Yousef “Joe” Sweid.

Negar plays a وزارت اطّلاعات جمهوری اسلامی ایران (VAJA) agent. Born in Iran, the actor moved to Turkey when she was young and later emigrated to Canada.

Born in Mashhad, Iran, Negahban turned 49 on June 2, 2017. On July 8, 2017, Buff turned 69 and Cuesta turned 54.

“Concrete and Gold”

Born in Warren, Ohio, USA, Dave Grohl turned 48 on January 14, 2017. He founded the Foo Fighters in Seattle, Washington, USA in 1994.

On November 23, 2015, the band’s extended play “Saint Cecilia” was released. From December 2016 to May 2017, the band recorded “Concrete and Gold” at EastWest Studios, a recording studio complex in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The album has 11 songs. It ended Grohl’s self-imposed six-month hiatus from music while recovering from an injury on the band’s concert tour from 2014 to 2015.
