After defeating Reece McLaren, 26, at “ONE Championship: Quest for Greatness” on August 18, 2017, Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, 30, of the Philippines is set to face Kevin “Oldboy” Chung, 24, of South Korea and the United States at “ONE: Legends of the World” on November 10, 2017. Currently, Chung has a professional mixed martial arts record of 5 wins and 0 loss.
During the press conference for “ONE: Legends of the World” at City of Dreams Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines on November 7, 2017, I asked Belingon how much he knew Chung as a fighter. The Team Lakay said, “Well, not much. I watched his fight videos and I’m confident that I am going to win this fight.”

According to Belingon, all of his previous opponents have different skills. He expects Chung to be different, as well, but he emphasized that he is confident of defeating his undefeated Korean-American opponent.
As a professional MMA fighter, Belingon has 16 wins and 5 losses. As a supporter of not only combat sports but sports in general, he said, “To MMA fans, I encourage you to join any kind of sports, not only MMA because sports is part of our life.”
When asked about what makes Team Lakay different from other teams, Belingon pointed out that is probably the bonding among the members. He explained, “In Team Lakay, we treat each other as a family.”
Aside from Belingon, four other Team Lakay fighters are in the fight card of “ONE: Legends of the World.” Eduard Folayang, 33, will defend his ONE lightweight world champion title from ONE featherweight world champion Martin Nguyen, 28, in the main event.
In the co-main event, Danny Kingad, 22, will challenge ONE flyweight world champion Adriano Moraes. Like Chung, Kingad is an undefeated fighter with 5 wins.
Joshua Pacio, 21, and Gina “Conviction” Iniong, 27, are both in the preliminary card. Pacio will face his fellow Filipino fighter Roy Doliguez, 35, in the strawweight division while Iniong will fight Priscilla Lumban Gaol, 29, of Indonesia in the atomweight division.
