#MissWorld2017 results: Head-to-Head challenge winners

A new format called Head-to-Head Challenge Rounds was introduced in Miss World 2017, which will culminate on Nov. 18, Saturday. The new format will help determine the quarter finalists of the beauty pageant.

From 118 Miss World 2017 candidates, only 40 will proceed to the quarter finals. The Top 40 will be comprised of five fast-track event winners, 15 candidates selected by the judges and 20 Head-to-Head challenge winners.

For the Head-to-Head challenge, the candidates will be divided into groups of six. In each group, the six members will make their opening remarks and a presentation of themselves in 2 minutes or less.

After the presentations, the six candidates in the group will participate in an 8-minute group discussion, in which they will answer questions from the presenter and the online community. Each member of the group will also be given 30-45 seconds to answer the question of the day.

From each group, only one candidate will be selected to automatically advance to Top 40. Here are the Head-to-Head Challenge results:

Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico will pass her crown to her successor in Sanya, China. During the grand coronation night, the 40 quarter finalists will be trimmed down to Top 25, then to Top 8, from which Miss World, First Princess and Second Princess will be chosen.
