Bruno Mars’ ‘Finesse’ remix featuring Cardi B released

Peter Gene Hernandez, 32, and Belcalis Almanzar, 25, who are professionally known as Bruno Mars and Cardi B, respectively, are collaborating for the first time. Their collaboration song, a remix of “Finesse,” will be released on January 4, 2018.

On January 3, 2018, the music video of “Finesse” remix was released on Mars’ YouTube account. The video, which is 3 minutes and 43 seconds long, was viewed almost 2 million times within 24 hours.

The “Finesse” remix music video is inspired by “Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” the 1990s sitcom starring Will Smith. The video features Mars and Cardi B in colorful gear while dancing in a 1990s set with cement floors.

Originally released as one of the nine tracks of “24K Magic,” the third studio album of Mars,  “Finesse” underwent 20 different versions. He co-wrote the song with Philip Lawrence, Christopher Brody Brown, James Fauntleroy, Ray Romulus, Jeremy Reeves, Jonathan Yip and Ray McCullough II.

Released by Atlantic Records on November 18, 2016, “24K Magic” is Mars’ most recent studio album. “Versace on the Floor” and “That’s What I Like” are also from this album.

On the other hand, Cardi B’s most third and most recent mixtape was released on January 20, 2017. Titled “Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 2,” the mixtape was released under the label KSR.

On December 22, 2017, Cardi B released a collaboration song titled “Bartier Cardi” featuring Atlanta rapper Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, 25, who is professionally known as 21 Savage. The two rappers co-wrote the song with the producers Samuel Gloade and Darryl McCorkell.

Mars performed “Finesse” in the Apollo Theater in Manhattan, New York City for “Bruno Mars: 24K Magic Live at the Apollo,” which aired on CBS on November 29, 2017. Watch the music video of the remix featuring Cardi B here:
