Marshall Bruce Mathers III, who is professionally Eminem, will be one of the headliners of the Governors Ball Music Festival 2018. The eighth iteration of the annual music festival in Randall’s Island, New York City is scheduled June 1-3.
This will be Eminem’s first headliner in New York City since 2010. Joining him as co-headliners at Governors Ball 2018 are Jacques Webster, Jr., who is professionally known as Travis Scott, John Anthony “Jack” White and the indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Formed in New York City in 2010, Yeah Yeah Yeahs has three members. They are vocalist and pianist Karen Lee Orzolek, who is professionally known as Karen O, guitarist and keyboardist Nicholas Joseph “Nick” Zinner and drummer Brian Chase.
White is the other half of the rock duo The White Stripes, which has yet to release a new studio album since 2007. On the other hand, Scott is set to release his third studio album titled “Astroworld.”
Joining Eminem, Scott, White and Yeah Yeah Yeahs at Governors Ball 2018 are Ashley Nicolette “Halsey” Frangipane, Khalid Donnel Robinson, who is mononymously known as Khalid, and the hip hop and rock band N.E.R.D. whose members are Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley. Other performers include Austin Richard “Post Malone” Post, Damian Robert Nesta “Jr. Gong” Marley, Symere “Lil Uzi Vert” Woods and Margaret Debay “Maggie” Rogers.
The Governors Ball 2018 is not the only music festival to be co-headlined by Eminem. The “Rap God” rapper is also set to co-headline the Boston Calling Music Festival 2018 with The Killers and John Anthony “Jack” White May 25-27, 2018 and the 2018 Coachella Music and Arts Festival with Beyoncé Knowles and Abel “The Weeknd” Makkonen Tesfaye April 15-22, 2018.
On December 15, 2017, Eminem released his ninth studio album titled “Revival,” including a collaboration song titled “River” featuring Ed Sheeran. Listen to the audio here:
