Hailing from Guangxi, China, Lan Ming Qiang, 24, is making his ONE Championship debut on January 26, 2018 at “ONE: Global Superheroes.” He replaced Pongsiri Mitsatit, 21, of Thailand as the opponent of Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 22, of Team Lakay from Baguio City, Philippines.

“I am proud to be part of a great martial arts organization like ONE Championship, but my pride is without exaggeration,” Lan stated. “My pride cannot be moved. It only grows. I want more people to see Chinese athletes at the highest stage.”

“I am looking forward to the match,” Lan said of his upcoming strawweight bout against Pacio. “I do not know what is going to happen, or how the match is going to end, but it is surely going to be exciting.”

After a 16-2 sanda record and several championship titles, Lan recently made his transition to the cage and already has a pair of stunning victories to his credit. A national sanda champion in China, he trains alongside ONE Championship flyweight standout Hao Bin “The Southern Eagle” Ma at the Jincan Defense Club.

Ma is also in the “ONE: Global Superheroes” fight card. He will fight Sotir Kichukov of Bulgaria in the flyweight division in the main card.

“ONE: Global Superheroes” will be headlined by Pacio’s fellow Team Lakay fighter Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio and Kairat Akhmetov of Kazakhstan. Team Lakay’s Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly and April Osenio are also in the fight card and are set to face Meas Meu of Cambodia and Jomary Torres, respectively.
