Linda Jeanne Bement was an American model and beauty queen born and raised Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. She is the first Miss Utah USA to win Miss USA and the third Miss USA to win Miss Universe.

BIOGRAPHY

Bement was the only child of Charles Albert Bement and Elaine Stevens Bement, who got married in 1938. Before Charles and Elaine divorced, they had another daughter named Patricia Ann Bement, who died on the day she was born in Salt Lake City on March 14, 1939.

In 1980, Elaine married Curtis Tempest Ellsworth in The Salt Lake Temple, a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Ellsworth died on November 5, 1988 at age 71.
