Originally broadcast from October 18, 1988 to May 20, 1997 on ABC, “Roseanne” returned on the small screen on March 27, 2018. To the cast and crew’s surprise, more than 18 million viewers in the United States tuned in to welcome the 10th season of the sitcom.

“There are no words because the words all sound cliché,” Sara Gilbert told Variety. “I think the entire cast and producers, we’re all extremely grateful that America showed up.”

Gilbert told the publication that while she knew they performed better than people expected, she did not expect the kind of response the sitcom received. She explained, “You want people to connect and want to reach your audience and so often in this life and in this industry you fall short of achieving of what you want. I’m just thrilled that people let us into their homes.”

Including Gilbert, all the main cast members returned for Season 10. With Gilbert as Darlene Conner-Healy, Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Michael Fishman and Lecy Goranson reprised their respective roles as Roseanne Conner, Dan Conner, Jackie Harries, D.J. Conner and Becky Conner-Healy.

Three more actors were added in the main cast in Season 10. Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara and Jayden Rey play Harris Healy, Mark Healy and Mary Conner, respectively.

In “Roseanne” Season 10, Darlene is now a single mother of two, Harris and Mark. Gilbert’s character just lost her job so she has to move back to Lanford to live with her parents.

Johnny Galecki, who plays Darlene’s husband David Healy, will appear as guest in Season 10. He has been playing Dr. Leonard Hofstadter in the CBS sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” since 2007.

Also appearing as guest cast in Season 10 are Natalie West and Sandra Bernhard as Crystal Anderson-Conner and Nancy Barlett, respectively. Estelle Parsons will reprise her role as Beverly Harris, which will be a recurring character in Season 10.
