BLACKPINK 2018 Japan tour confirmed

YG Entertainment has confirmed that its sole girl group BLACKPINK will tour in Japan in July 2018. This will be the first live Japanese tour of the four-member K-pop girl group.

Titled “BLACK Arena Tour 2018,” the tour will have six shows in three cities in Japan, YG Entertainment announced in its official website. The concert series will kick off on July 24, 2018 at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka.

After performing in Osaka, Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa will perform in Fukuoka and Chiba.The specific dates of the six “BLACK Arena Tour 2018” shows have yet to be announced.

While cementing its position as the top K-pop girl group of today, BLACKPINK recently received several awards. Among these are World Rookie Award at 2018 Gaon Chart Music Awards, Dgital Bonsang at 2018 Golden Disc Awards, Bonsang Award at 2018 Seoul Music Awards, Best 3 New Artists (Asia) at 2018 Japan Gold Disc Award and Global Artist Top 10 at 2018 V Live Awards.

On August 30, 2017, Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa released their first Japanese album titled “Blackpink” under YGEX. After ranking number one in Japan, the album will be released as a reissue album titled “Re: Blackpink” under YGEX on March 28, 2018.

On March 20, 2018, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk took to Instagram to confirm that BLACKPINK is set to make a comeback soon as Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa are done recording new music. However, he did not reveal further details about the new music.

In 2017, BLACKPINK released a single titled “As If It’s Your Last,” which peaked at number 1 in the United States. Watch the music video here:
