Fighting out of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, Klidson de Abreu, 25, is still the Light Heavyweight Champion of Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation. On April 13, 2018, he successfully defended his title from Matt “The Riotmaker” Baker at “Brave CF 11” at Terrace, Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Before joining Brave CF, de Abreu competed against two fellow Brazilians in two Jungle Fight bouts. He was knocked out by Bruno Henrique Cappelozza, 28, at “Jungle Fight 87” on May 21, 2016 at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil but he knocked out Leonardo “Cabecao” Silva de Oliveira, 25, at “Jungle Fight 90” on September 3, 2016 at the Mauro Pinheiro Gymnasium in Sao Paulo.
On March 31, 2017, de Abreu made a successful Brave CF debut at “Brave 4: Unstoppable” at the IPIC Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He submitted Artur “Tornado” Guseinov, 33, of Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia via rear-naked choke.
On August 12, 2017, de Abreu returned to the Brave CF cage and became the Brave CF Light Heavyweight Champion. He submitted Timo Feucht, 22, of Leipzig, Germany via armbar at “Brave 8: The Rise of Champions” at the Almir Nelson de Almeida Gymnasium in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.
After defeating Baker at “Brave CF 11,” de Abreu now has 11 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Baker now has 14 wins, 9 losses and 2 No Contests.
Fighting out of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, Baker made his Brave CF debut at “Brave CF 11.” Prior to this, he competed in two Super Fight League bouts.
On January 20, 2017, Baker submitted Ravindra Balhara via triangle choke at “SFL 2017: Wreck Thy Neighbor – Delhi Heroes vs. Haryana Sultans” at the Siri Fort Sports Complex in New Delhi, Delhi, India. On January 28, 2018, the bout between Baker and Enrico Cortese at “SFL 2017: Backyard Brawl- Delhi Heroes vs. U.P. Nawabs” at the Siri Fort Sports Complex ended as No Contest.
