Dubbed the Michael Jordan of kickboxing, Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, 32, is considered a true elite striker in the world of kickboxing. The Armenian martial artist who is currently based in Italy is one of the finest offensive talents in the sport.
Petrosyan is nicknamed The Doctor for his surgical precision and near-flawless technique. With a professional kickboxing record of 85 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws and 2 No Contests, he is known for his incredible 42-bout win streak which lasted for six long years.
Universally recognized as one of the most dominant world champions in middleweight history, Petrosyan is set to make his ONE Championship debut on April 20, 2018. He will headline the fight card of ONE Super Series, the new league of the promotion that is exclusive to striking martial arts.
Standing across from Petrosyan in the ring will be Thai kickboxer “Smokin” Jo Nattawut, 25, who is now based in Atlanta, Georgia. The latter is a former Lion Fight Super Welterweight Champion and World Muaythai Council (WMC) Champion known for his powerful elbow and knee strikes.
Nattawut is a rising star who holds a professional record of 60 wins, 11 losses and 2 draws. However, against Petrosyan, the Thai Muay Thai fighter will have his work cut out for him in dealing with a true legend in the sport.
By design, ONE Super Series will provide fans with a dazzling carnival of martial arts disciplines, with the purpose of providing pure martial arts that favors action and excitement above all. It is an amazing new development from ONE Championship, which is leading the pack globally in terms of innovation and the development of martial arts as not just a sport but also as a growing entertainment spectacle.
