
Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan was one of the victors during the debut of ONE Super Series, the new ONE Championship striking martial arts league, at “ONE: Heroes of Honor” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on April 20, 2018. The Armenian kickboxer based in Italy, competed against Thai Muay Thai star “Smokin” Jo Nattawut of Thailand in a kickboxing bout in the catchweight division.
The kickboxing catchweight bout between Petrosyan and Nattawut was the main event of the ONE Super Series card at “ONE: Heroes of Honor.” The Thai contender lost to his Armenian-Italian opponent via unanimous decision.
Petrosyan is fighting out Gorizia, Italy. After beating Nattawut, the Armenian-Italian fighter now holds a striking record of 96 wins and 2 losses.
On the other hand, Nattawut’s striking record downgraded to 66 wins and 7 losses. He is fighting out of Atlanta, Georgia and was originally from Korat, Thailand.
ONE Super Series was not the only thing that was launched at “ONE: Heroes of Honor.” The event also marked the first time all mixed martial arts bouts of ONE Championship took place in a five-rope ring instead of a cage.
In the main event of the MMA card, Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon of the Philippines battled it out with Andrew Leone of the United States in the bantamweight division. The Filipino fighter knocked out his American opponent at 1:27 of Round 2.
