25 April 2018 – Singapore: With 18 wins and 6 losses, Eduard “Landslide” Folayang of Team Lakay from Baguio City, Philippines is set to make his highly anticipated return to action against Russia’s Kharun “Predator” Atlangeriev, who has 11 wins and 0 loss. The two are scheduled for a three-round lightweight bout at “ONE: Unstoppable Dreams” on May 11, 2018.

Folayang has not competed since losing by knockout against reigning ONE Featherweight and Lightweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen at “ONE: Legends of the World” in the Philippines on November 10, 2017. The Team Lakay fighter said, “The loss to Martin Nguyen was the toughest in my career, and I think I am a much better martial artist because of it.”

After the loss, Folayang had a good break, which he said was more mental than anything else. He explained, “I just really needed to take a step back and take it all in, see where I went wrong and what I could have done to prevent it.

“After some time, I went back into training and it was business as usual,” Folayang shared. “I believe it’s important to get your mind right first before anything else, then take care of yourself spiritually, then comes the physical training.”

“Now I’m back in training and I feel great,” the Team Lakay fighter continued. “I’m going hard and I’m really focused on this comeback.”

“ONE: Unstoppable Dreams” will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Doors open at 7:00 pm local time.

In the main event, reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee of Singapore will defend her title against martial arts veteran Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi of Tokyo, Japan.  In the co-main event, Nguyen of Sydney, Australia will defend his featherweight title against Christian “The Warrior” Lee of Singapore.

In the ONE Super Series co-main event, Muay Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao of Thailand will face Sergio “Little One” Wielzen of Amsterdam, Netherlands for the inaugural ONE Super Series Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring Folayang and Nguyen:
