“Brave News,” the online show that keeps fans around the world updated on Brave Combat Federation, comes back with a huge update from Europe. Announced on the show was the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion’s 13th event “Brave 13,” which will take place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 9, 2018.
“Brave 13” will mark Brave CF’s first event in Europe. The full fight card has yet to be announced but Abdul-Kareem “Pride of Palestine” Al-Selwady of Amman, Jordan has recently reached out to the promotion through an open message requesting a fight in the upcoming card in Belfast.
It was Erik Carlsson of Gothenburg, Sweden who responded by challenging Al-Selwady. The Jordanian fighter recently revealed that he had accepted the challenge and signed to face the Swedish contender.
Carlsson currently has 6 wins and 3 losses while Al-Selwady has 9 wins and 1 loss. “Brave 13” will mark Carlsson’s fourth and Al-Selwady’s fifth Brave CF bout.
In Brave CF, Carlsson defeated Gadzhimusa Gaziev but lost to Jarrah Hussein “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Silawe of Jordan and Ahmed Amir of Egypt. In Carlsson’s most recent bout, he lost to Amir via split decision at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.”
On the other hand, Al-Selwady is undefeated in the promotion, having defeated Rami “Raminator” Aziz of Sweden, Michael “Maicon D” Deiga-Scheck and Erick “Indio Barbio” Carlos Silva of Brazil and Charlie Leary of England. In Al-Selwady’s most recent bout, he defeated Leary via unanimous decision at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises.”
Also confirmed to be in the “Brave 13” fight card is Benjamin Bennett. Recently, he won the gold medal in the welterweight division in the 2017 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).
Before “Brave 13,” Brave CF will be in Indonesia for “Brave 12: KHK Legacy.” The 12th event of the promotion will take place at Balai Sarbini Hall in Jakarta on May 11, 2018.
In the main event of “Brave 12: KHK Legacy,” Eldar Eldarov of Russia will clash with Brian Hooi of the Netherlands in a lightweight bout. In the co-main event of the evening, Tahar Hadbi of Algeria will face Al-Selawe.
