Tahar “Fast Hands” Hadbi of Algeria and Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe of Jordan competed in their welterweight division at “Brave 12: KHK Legacy” at the Balai Sarbini Hall, Jakarta, Indonesia on May 11, 2018. It was the co-main event of Brave Combat Federation’s first ever event held in Southeast Asia.
After three five-minute rounds, Al-Selawe was declared the winner via unanimous decision. This made him the the first ever fighter to win five fights of the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion.
On December 2, 2016, Al-Selawe made a successful Brave CF debut by submitting Erik Carlsson at “Brave CF 2: Dynasty.” Al-Selawe defeated Daniele Scatizzi at “Brave CF 4” on March 31, 2017 and Carl Booth at “Brave CF 9: The Kingdom of Champions” on November 17, 2017 both via unanimous decision.
On March 2, 2018, Al-Selawe submitted David Bear at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises.” After beating Hadbi at “Brave 12: KHK Legacy,” Al-Selawe improved his professional MMA record to 12 wins and 2 losses.
On the other hand, Hadbi now has 14 wins and 7 losses. “Brave 12: KHK Legacy” marked his fourth Brave CF bout.
In the “Brave 12: KHK Legacy” co-main event, Hadbi and Al-Selawe competed in the welterweight division. The Jordanian contender won via unanimous decision and became the first ever MMA fighter to win five Brave CF bouts.
In the main event of the evening, Eldar Eldarov of Russia faced Brian Hooi of the Netherlands in the lightweight division. After three five-minute rounds, the Russian contender was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
