'ONE: Grit and Glory' fight card

On May 12, 2018, Elipitua Siregar won his first ONE Championship victory at “ONE: Grit and Glory” at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. He defeated his fellow Indonesian mixed martial artist Dodi Mardian.

At “ONE: Grit and Glory,” Siregar and Mardian competed in the flyweight division. Referee Yuji Shimada put a stop to the flyweight bout at 3:59 of Round 1 when Siregar submitted Mardian via rear-naked choke.

The flyweight division of ONE Championship is currently dominated by reigning ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano Moraes of Brazil. Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio of the Philippines is the reigning Interim ONE Flyweight World Champion.

The flyweight bout between Siregar and Mardian “ONE: Grit and Glory” was the second bout of the evening. The first bout was also between two Indonesian fighters.

Kicking off “ONE: Grit and Glory” was a strawweight bout between Riski “Kong” Umar defeated and Doan Birawa. Shimada put a stop to the bout at 1:22 of Round 2 when Umar submitted Birawa via rear-naked choke.

In the co-main event of the evening, Stefer Rahardian of Indonesia competed against Himanshu Kaushik of India in the strawweight division.

In the main event of the evening, reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex Silva of Brazil defended his title from former champion Yoshitaka Naito of Japan in a rematch.
