Representing Team Lakay from Baguio City, Philippines, reigning Brave Combat Federation Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, is about to make history in Europe. He will be the first champion of the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion to defend his title in the continent.
Loman became the first ever bantamweight champion of Brave CF when he knocked out Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat, 30, of Canada at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain on November 17, 2017. On June 9, 2018, the Team Lakay fighter will defend his title for the first time at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Making an attempt to dethrone Loman at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” is Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, of Dublin, Ireland. It will be a rematch as they first faced each other at “Brave 1: The Beginning,” the inaugural event of Brave CF which took place at the Khalifa Sports City Arena on September 23, 2016.
At “Brave 1: The Beginning,” Loman defeated Mlambo via unanimous decision. It was the Irish contender’s second loss as a professional MMA fighter.
“Brave 13: Europe Evolution” will be the first ever Brave CF event to take place in Europe and the rematch between Loman and Mlambo will be the main event. In the co-main event, Norman “Stormin” Parke, 31, of Norther Ireland will fight Myles “Magic” Price, 29, of Ireland.
At “Brave 13: Europe Evolution,” Andy “Taz” Young of Northern Ireland will face Bryan “The Big Bad Wolf” Creighton, 32, of England at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” while Decky “The Diamond” Dalton of Northern Ireland will compete against Zach “The Hurricane” Zane of the United States. Also expected on the fight card are South Africa’s Chad “Superman” Hanekom, 26, and Ireland’s Konrad Iwanowski and Jonathan Reid.
Currently, Loman holds a professional MMA record of 9 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Mlambo has 5 wins and 2 losses.
