Invicta Fighting Championships has yet to have a champion in its atomweight division. On July 21, 2018, Jinh Yu Frey, 33, and Minna “Brutsku” Grusander, 29, will compete for the vacant title at “Invicta FC 30.”

Taking place at the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri, “Invicta FC 30” will be the fourth event of the mixed martial arts promotion for female fighters in 2018. The atomweight championship bout between Frey and Grusander will be the main event and the fights on the undercard have yet to be announced.

When Frey made her Invicta FC debut on September 6, 2014 at “Invicta FC 8,” she lost to Jodie Esquibel, 32, of Albuerque, New Mexico via split decision. On December 5, 2014, Frey returned to the cage and earned her first win in the promotion by submitting Cassie “The Hulk” Robb, 27, of Casper, Wyoming via rear-naked choke at “Invicta FC 10.”

The last time Frey competed in the Invicta FC cage was on July 15, 2017 at “Invicta FC 24.” She defeated Ashley “Smashley” Cummins, 30, of St. Louis, Missouri via unanimous decision.

Frey is fighting out of Arlington, Texas and she currently holds a professional MMA record of 6 wins and 3 losses. She is American-Korean.

On the other hand, Grusander is fighting of Finland. She currently has 6 wins and 1 loss.

“Invicta FC 30” marks Grusander’s second bout in the Invicta CF cage. The Finnish fighter made her promotional debut on March 24, 2018 at “Invicta FC 28” where she knocked out Fernanda Priscilla “Pitbull” Barros Pinheiro,29, of Brazil via punches.
