Fighting out of Wailuku, Hawaii, Zach “The Hurricane” Zane made his Brave Combat Federation debut at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution,” which took place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 9, 2018. He emerged victorious in his promotional debut by conquering his hometown hero opponent.

At “Brave 13: Europe Evolution,” Zane faced Decky “The Diamond” Dalton, who is fighting out of Belfast. They competed in the featherweight division, which is currently dominated by reigning Brave CF Featherweight Champion Elias Boudegzdame of Algeria.

The featherweight bout between Zane and Dalton ended at 4:36 of Round 2. The Hawaiian fighter submitted his opponent from Belfast via rear-naked choke.

Like Zane, Dalton also made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution.” The Belfast native now holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 7 wins and 3 losses.

By defeating Dalton, Zane improved his professional MMA record to 8 wins and 6 losses. The Hawaiian fighter was coming out of two consecutive Alaska Fighting Championship (AFC) wins.

Aside from MMA, Zane is also into surfing. He is the first professional surfer to sign with Brave CF.

“Surfing is similar to martial arts, it is about the skills to adapt,” Zane told GDN Online. “At no time the sea remains the same, so is the sport of MMA.”

“Brave 13: Europe Evolution” featured 12 bouts in total. It was graced by several celebrity athletes including British professional boxer Amir Khan, English MMA fighter Darren “The Gorilla” Till, who competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor, who also trains at SBG Ireland.

In the main event of the evening, McGregor was on the corner of SBG Ireland fighter Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, who challenged reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman of the Philippines. Winning via unanimous decision, the Filipino champ retained his title.
