Naty Nabehet Loman recently travelled all the way from Baguio City, Philippines to Belfast, Northern Ireland to witness the historic event of Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation titled “Brave 13: Europe Evolution.” She is the mother of reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, who successfully defended his belt from Frans “The Black” Mlambo.

“I am so proud of my son because he made a choice and did follow it through and he is a good fighter and humble,” Naty said of Stephen. “He had trained hard for every fight so all we have to do is to give him our full support.”

Taking place at the SSE Arena in Belfast on June 9, 2018, “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” was headlined by Stephen, who is representing Team Lakay of Baguio City, and Mlambo, who is representing Straight Blast Gym (SBG) Ireland of Dublin, Ireland. Former Ultimate Fighting Championship Lightweight Champion Conor “The Notorious” McGregor was on the corner of his SBG Ireland teammate.

On Stephen’s corner is his Team Lakay teammate Honorio “The Rock” Banario, a former ONE Featherweight World Champion. They were also joined by Stephen’s mother.

“Of course, we pray a lot that he will be protected,” Naty shared. “I think he did well and we are all very proud of him. The family, friends and the loved ones back home are really proud of him.”

“Brave 13: Europe Evolution” marked Stephen’s first title defense and the presence of his mother caught the attention of the MMA community around the world. For a week, Naty was part of the fight team that helped Stephen to prepare for the title defense.

During the fight night, even the support from McGregor was not able to overcome Stephen who was supported by his mother from the audience. The support, determination and bravery of Naty earned praises as she joined the main stage celebrating the victory of her son.

Stephen is the youngest fighter from the Philippines to defend his championship in the United Kingdom and the youngest fighter in Brave CF to win a championship. Know more about the young champ through his mother here:
