Bahrain-based mixed martial arts organization Brave Combat Federation has signed Louie “Leonidas” Sanoudakis, 28, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada in a multi-fight contract. The Canadian bantamweight fighter trains at Tristar Gym, which is one among the top professional MMA training camps in the world.
Sanoudakis is the second prospect from Canada signed by Brave CF within the month following former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Jeremy “JBC” Kennedy, 25, from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. The former is trained by former world kickboxing champion Conrad Pla and Firas Zahabi trains at Tristar Gym.
Located in Montreal, Tristar Gym is home to several UFC fighters including Sage Northcutt, Elias Theodorou, Myles Jury, Aiemann Zahabi, Stevie Ray, Joseph Duffy and Joanne Calderwood. Also training at the gym are former UFC Light Heavyweight Champions Vitor Belfort and Jon Jones and former UFC Middleweight Champion Georges St. Pierre.
On March 26, 2018, St. Pierre took to Twitter to ask UFC president Dana White to feature Sanoudakis in Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. Currently in its second season, it is a series that aims to scout talent for the UFC.
After a very successful amateur career, Sanoudakis turned pro in 2013. He has fought for a number of promotions over the course of his seven-fight professional career.
Currently, Sanoudakis holds a professional MMA record of 6 wins and 1 loss. In his most recent bout, which took place at Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey at “CFFC 68” on October 21, 2017, he earned a unanimous decision win against Terry Bartholomew.
There is still no official announcement about Sanoudakis’s Brave CF debut. The Bahrain-based MMA organization has hinted an upcoming edition in August 2018 although the hosting city is yet to be announced.
