The 14th event of Brave Combat Federation will be hosted in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018. Confirmed to be on the card is a bout between Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 22, of France and Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 21, of the United States.
“Brave 14” will be the first event of a global mixed martial arts promotion to take place in Africa. The main event has yet to be announced.
With a professional MMA record of 7 wins, 0 loss and 1 No Contest, Abdouraguimov is making his Brave CF debut at “Brave 14.” He is a French national champion of Brazilian jiu-jitsu in the brown belt category.
In Abdouraguimov’s most recent bout, which was at “SHC 12” on May 5, 2018, he defeated Viscardi Andrade, 34, of Brazil via decision. After signing a multi-fight contract with Brave CF, the French fighter is putting his undefeated record on the line at “Brave 14.”
On the other hand, Wheeler currently has 8 wins and 2 losses. He was originally set to face Mohammad “The Latest” Fakhreddine, 33, of Lebanon at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 9, 2018.
However, the bout between Wheeler and Fakhreddine at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” was cancelled. The former was deemed not medically fit to fight due to the illness he suffered during his weight cut.
“Brave 14” marks Wheeler’s second Brave CF bout. When he made his promotional debut at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises” on March 2, 2018 in Jordan, he defeated Pawel Kielek, 22, of Poland via split decision.
Wheeler is adept in both wrestling and striking. His fast-paced aggressive style earned him the reference of the next Brock Lesnar in MMA.
Victory at “Brave 14” is crucial for both Abdouraguimov and Wheeler for their future goals at Brave CF. The event will be featured live on StarSat, VodaComm, Abu Dhabi Sports and Combate.
Brave CF has revealed that it will partner with more platforms to cover the event live in Europe, Asia and North America. The new broadcast partners will be announced soon.
