Beliebers were surprised when Justin Bieber, 24, and Selena Gomez, 25, broke up yet again. The Canadian pop star’s fans were surprised even more when recently, reports claim that he just got engaged with Hailey Baldwin, 21.
Neither Bieber nor Baldwin has confirmed the reports. But fuelling the engagement rumors are the recent cryptic social media posts of the former.
On July 7, 2018, Patricia “Pattie” Mallette took to Twitter to spread love. Literally, she simply repeated the words love without giving any hints on her son’s engagement.
On July 8, 2018, Bieber’s father Jeremy Bieber took to Instagram to give a message to his son about love. The father seemed to be telling his son how proud he is of his decision to finally get engaged.
According to reports, Justin proposed to Baldwin on July 8, 2018. Two eyewitnesses told TMZ that the proposal took place at a restaurant at a resort in the Bahamas.
Another source also confirmed the proposal told People. According to the source, Justin is very happy about the engagement.
“It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not. Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks,” the source told the publication. “He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”
Justin was born in London, Ontario, Canada. He is the only child of Jeremy and Mallette, who were never married.
On the other hand, Baldwin was born in Tucson, Arizona. She is the daughter of Stephen Baldwin and Kennya Deodato Baldwin.
Stephen also tweeted a celebrated message that seemed to confirm Justin and Hailey’s engagement. However, the tweet has since been deleted.
While Justin is known as a superstar in the music industry, Hailey is a professional model. In 2017, she graced the cover of the Spanish version of Harper’s Bazaar opposite Jon Kortajarena.
