Rich Franklin: ‘ONE Warrior Series’ Season 2 was a big step

ONE Warrior Series, a subsidiary of ONE Championship™ (ONE), the largest global sports media property in Asian history, concluded “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series” Season 2 mid-season finale on July 19, 2018 in Singapore. The brightest young stars in martial arts came out to participate in action-packed bouts.

After a series of compelling contests, Anita Karim, Mark Cuizon, Ismael Bandiwan, Ali Motamed and Mark Abelardo each received a Warrior Bonus for their extraordinary performances. ONE Warrior Series CEO Rich Franklin stated, “The second OWS event was live for the first time on the ONE Super App.”

“It was a big step up for the organization and our athletes,” Franklin added. “They rose to the challenge and entertained the viewers with some of the most exciting matches I have ever seen. We awarded five Warrior Bonuses to a group of athletes who left everything in the ring.”

In the main event of “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series” Season 2 mid-season finale, Kimihiro Eto submitted Yusaku Inoue at 4:32 of Round 2. Both fighters are fighting out of Japan.

For ONE Warrior Series director Jonathan Fong, “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series” Season 2 marked the return of some of the most entertaining prospects and the highly anticipated debut of other recruits. He said, “It was a highlight-filled evening with 13 finishes and two of the most exciting and competitive match ups.”

“(I) can’t wait to run it back in October,” Fong added. The second half of “Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series 2” Season 2 will air in September 2018.
