Representing Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines, Brave Combat Federation Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, will defend his title for the second time in 2018. This was recently confirmed by Brave CF president Mohammed Shahid.
This makes Loman the second Brave CF champion to defend his title twice in 2018. The first one was reigning Brave CF Featherweight Champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 24, of France and Algeria.
On March 2, 2018, Boudegzdame successfully defended his title at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises” at the Prince Hamzah Sports Hall in Amman, Jordan. The French-Algerian submission specialist submitted Jakub Kowalewicz, 25, of Poland.
On September 21, 2018, the reigning Brave CF Featherweight Champion will defend his title again. His challenger will be Bubba “The Highlight Kid” Jenkins, 30, an NCAA division 1 champion from the United States.
Boudegzdame and Jenkins will co-headline “Brave 16,” which will take place at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This marks the American challenger’s Brave CF debut.
Brave CF held its 14th event at the Omnisports Indoor Club of Tangier in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018. Its next event will be on September 7, 2018 at the Coliseo Bicentenario in Colombia.
The Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion will hold its next events in Pakistan in October 2018 and at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Bahrain in November 2018. It will hold two events in December 2018, which will be in Johannesburg, South Africa and in Saudi Arabia.
Shahid has yet to reveal which upcoming Brave CF event will feature Loman’s next title defense and the challenger of the Team Lakay fighter. Previously, the Brave CF president confirmed that the promotion is working towards making an event in Philippines by 2019 a reality.
According to Shahid, Brave CF is working towards hosting its first event to be held in the Philippines. The promotion has been actively working with Team Lakay, which is noted as Asia’s top fight team in 2018.
Loman is one of the three reigning world champions of Team Lakay. He successfully defended his belt from Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” at the SSE arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 9, 2018.
Also, Loman is the only Filipino to defend a world championship belt in the United Kingdom and is currently the youngest champion in Brave CF, which has an extensive roster of athletes from 42 countries. Here is a short clip featuring the Team Lakay fighter:
