Representing Evolve MMA in Singapore, Christian “The Warrior” Lee, 20, is set to compete in ONE Championship for the 12th time. If he wins, it will be his 10th victory in the promotion.

A lifelong student of martial arts, Lee comes from a family of competitors with both parents boasting black bets in a variety of disciplines including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Taekwondo. His older sister Angela “Unstoppable” Lee is the reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion and is arguably the biggest mixed martial arts star in Asia today.

Christian evolved into one of the best young talents on the ONE Championship roster and a bonafide contender in the featherweight division after making his professional MMA debut as a high school senior. His last three bouts have come against former or current champions, namely reigning ONE Featherweight and Lightweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, 29, of Australia and Vietnam, former ONE Lightweight World Champion Kotetsu “No Face” Boku, 41, of Japan and former DEEP titleholder Kazunori Yokota, 40, of Japan.

On September 8, 2018, Christian will compete against Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly, 34, of the Philippines at “ONE: Beyond the Horizon” at the Baoshan Sports Center in Shanghai, China. A well-rounded fighter with five knockout triumphs and four via submission, the Singaporean contender believes that he has more tools in his arsenal compared to his Filipino opponent.

Being fourteen years Kelly’s junior, Lee will also have youth on his side as he usually does in his matches. The Evolve MMA fighter sees their upcoming contest as a crucial compass as to what the future will hold with Kelly also coming off a loss in his previous bout, a technical knockout defeat at the hands of former ONE Featherweight World Champion Narantungalag “Tungaa” Jadambaa, 34, of Mongolia.

A win puts either man back in the conversation for the ONE Featherweight World Championship picture. A loss would definitely push either one of them to the back of the line in the talent-filled weight class.

“Absolutely, this is a very important fight for both of our careers,” Christian guaranteed. “We are definitely going to put on a show.”

Meanwhile, here is a clip from the bout between Christian and Nguyen:
