‘Floribama Shore’ Season 2 episode 8 features Karylle’s song ‘OMG’

Featured in “Floribama Shore” Season 2 episode 8 titled “The Faint Blue Line” is the song “OMG” by Filipino singer, host and actress Ana Karylle Padilla Tatlonghari-Yuzon, 37, who is mononymously known as Karylle. The episode aired on MTV on August 27, 2018.

Released in 2011, “OMG” was the first single of Karylle’s fourth studio album titled “Roadtrip.” She co-produced the song with her husband Yael Yuzon along with Alvin Cornista.

Set in the Florida Panhandle along the beach that stretches to Alabama, “Floribama Shore” is a reality show that premiered on MTV on November 27, 2017. It is a successor to “Jersey Shore,” which aired on the same network from December 3, 2009 to December 20, 2012.

Executive produced by SallyAnn Salsano and Drew Tappon, “Floribama Shore” revolves around the lives of eight young adults who live together during the summer in the Gulf Coast at Panama City Beach. The youngest among them is Kortni Gilson, 21, of Panama City Beach, Florida while the oldest ones are Codi Butts, 25, of Westminster, South Carolina and Kirk Medas, 25, of Atlanta, Georgia.

The other cast members of “Florida Shore” are Jeremiah Buoni, 22, of Clermont, Florida, Gus Smyrnios, 22, of Tallahassee, Florida, Nilsa Prowant, 23, of Panama City Beach, Aimee Hall, 24, of Perdido, Alabama and Candace Rice, 24, of Memphis, Tennessee. All of the eight cast members returned in the second season, which premiered on July 9, 2018 and is set to have a total of 14 episodes.

In the “The Faint Blue Line” episode, Gilson admitted that she had a miscarriage once before. She faced a pregnancy scare while her former boyfriend Logan Fairbanks kept on pushing boundaries.

Also in the episode, Butts tried to get his fitness on. Prowant and Smyrnios sparked a possible romance, as well.
