No ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’ Season 3 on Netflix?

“Marvel’s Iron Fist” is not returning for a third season, Marvel and Netflix have confirmed. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, the web television series was created for the streaming service by Scott Buck.

“’Marvel’s Iron Fist’ will not return for a third season on Netflix,” Marvel and Neflix said is a join statement obtained by Deadline. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners.”

With 13 episodes, “Marvel’s Iron Fist” Season 1 premiered on March 17, 2017. The 10-episode second season premiered on September 7, 2018.

“We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series,” Marvel and Netflix said. “While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal ‘Iron Fist’ will live on.”

Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, Iron Fist is the alter ego of a martial arts expert named Danny Rand. The superhero has the ability to call upon a mystical power called the Iron Fist.

Finn Jones plays the title character in “Marvel’s Iron Fist.” The character is a billionaire Buddhist monk who is also a kung fu expert.

Jones also played the character in the Netflix series “The Defenders” and “Luke Cage.” After the cancellation of “Marvel’s Iron Fist,” the English actor took to Instagram to share his thoughts.

For the “Marvel’s Iron Fist” role, Jones studied kung fu, wushu and tai chi. Among his co-stars in the Netflix series were Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Ramon Rodriguez as Bakuto, Sacha Dhawan as Davos, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Simone Missick as Misty Knight and Alice Eve as “Typhoid Mary” Walker.

Before playing a superhero in Netflix series, Jones starred in “Game of Heroes.” He played Loras Tyrell in the HBO series from 2011 to 2016.

On the big screen, the last film Jones starred was “Leatherface,” a horror film released in 2017. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring him and Henwick:
