In the second bout of the evening, Arjan Singh Bhullar, 32, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada faced Marcelo Golm, 26, of Pitangueiras, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Born in Richmond, British Columbia, Bhullar was one of the four fighters who represented Canada at “UFC Fight Night 138,” which marked his third bout in the UFC. As a freestyle wrestler, he represented the county at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Bhullar is of Indian Sikh descent. He was the first MMA fighter of Indian-Canadian descent to sign with the UFC.
Golm was one of the two fighters who represented Brazil at “UFC Fight Night 138.” It was his third bout in the UFC.
The Pitangueiras native was an undefeated fighter when he joined the UFC. In his most recent bout, which was on February 3, 2018, he faced his first defeat after losing to Timothy Johnson via unanimous decision at “UFC Fight Night 125.”
Bhullar and Golm competed in the heavyweight division at “UFC Fight Night 138.” The reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion is Daniel “DC” Cormier, 39, of San Jose, California, United States.
After three five-minute rounds, the heavyweight bout between Bhullar and Golm was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, referee Eric Nevitt raised the hand of the Indian-Canadian fighter, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Winning at “UFC Fight Night 138” improved Bhullar’s professional MMA record to 8 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, losing to the Indian-Canadian fighter downgraded Golm’s record to 6 wins and 2 losses.

In the co-main event, Michael “The Menace” Johnson of Boca Raton, Florida, United States and Artem “The Russian Hammer” Lobov of Dublin, Ireland competed in a catch weight of 147 lbs. After three five-minute rounds, the American contender defeated his Russian-Irish opponent via unanimous decision.
In the main event, Volkan “No Time” Oezdemir of Fribourg, Switzerland and Anthony “Lionheart” Smith of Omaha, Nebraska, United States competed in the light heavyweight division. The American contender submitted his Swiss opponent via rear-naked choke at 4:26 of Round 3.
