Fighting out of Helmond, Netherlands, Nieky “The Natural” Holzken, 34, has earned his first victory in ONE Super Series. The Dutch multiple-time kickboxing world champion was one of the winners at “ONE: Warrior’s Dream,” which marked his debut in the Singapore-based martial arts organization.

Featuring three ONE Super Series striking contests and 11 mixed martial arts matches, “ONE: Warrior’s Dream” took place on November 17, 2018 at the Stadium Istora in Jakarta, Indonesia. In the co-main event of the evening, Holzken competed in a kickboxing contest at a catch weight of 78 kg against Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexandre, 36, of Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Holzken announced his arrival on the ONE Super Series stage with a highlight-reel knockout win over Alexandre. The Dutch striker punished his Brazilian opponent with a flurry of pin-point punches and kicks, leading to a pair of knockdowns in the first round.

Referee Atushi Onari put a stop to the kickboxing bout between Holzken and Alexandre at after 2 minutes and 59 seconds in the second round. It was the Dutch kickboxer’s hands that proved to be the difference as he unloaded a combination in the dying seconds of the second round that was capped off by a well-placed uppercut that shut his Brazilian opponent’s lights out.

Winning at “ONE: Warrior’s Dream” improved Holzken professional kickboxing record to 91 wins, 14 losses and 1 draw. On the other hand, the loss downgraded Alexandre’s record to 69 wins, 19 losses and 1.

Including Holzken, three martial artists represented the Netherlands at “ONE: Warrior’s Dream.” The other two were Brown Pinas, 25, and Anthony “The Archangel” Engelen, 33.

Pinas competed in a Muay Thai contest in the featherweight division against Yohann Fairtex Drai, 26, of France and Thailand. The Dutch contender knocked out his French opponent via spinning back elbow in the second round.

Representing the Netherlands and Indonesia, Engelen competed in an MMA match the strawweight division against Jimmy “The Silencer” Yabo, 37, of Cebu City, Philippines. The Indonesian-Dutch fighter submitted his Filipino opponent via rear-naked choke in the first round.
