The 68th Miss World winner will be crowned on December 8, 2018 at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China. Reigning Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar of India will bequeath her crown to her successor.
There are 118 women from around the world vying for the Miss World 2018 crown. Based on their performances in the pre-coronation night activities, here are the five contestants we believe will make it to the top:
- 4th Runner-Up: Veruska Ljubisavljević (Venezuela)
- 3rd Runner-Up: Vanessa Ponce de Leon (Mexico)
- 2nd Runner-up: Quinn Abenakyo (Uganda)
- 1st Runner-up: Maeva Coucke (France)
- Miss World 2018: Katarina Rodriguez (Philippines)
Coucke appears to have the most beautiful face among the 118 Miss World 2018 candidates. Winning the Top Model award, which made her the first quarter-finalist, also proved that she is a beauty with grace.
During the coronation night, the 118 candidates will be whittled down to 30 quarter-finalists. Including Coucke, 13 quarter-finalists have been revealed after the talent and sports competitions and the head-to-head challenges.
Rodriguez did not win any of the pre-coronation night activities to qualify to the quarter-finals. However, we believe that she will emerge as the dark horse who loses the battles but wins the war.
Not only does Rodriguez possess the real essence of beauty with a purpose. She does not speak like a trained beauty queen like most, if not all, of her opponents but she has the experience, will and understanding that make her the perfect candidate to do the jobs of Miss World 2018.
We also believe that Marissa Butler of United States, Jannatul Ferdous of Bangladesh, Kanako Date of Japan and Nicolene Limsnukan of Thailand will make it to the Top 10.
